Very fine weave and vegetable dye are the two main factors of making this gabbeh rug something different than most of the original Persian ones, besides the contemporary pattern and soft colours of it.
The colours are beige, light brown, khaki, cream and dark brown tending to grey.
Gabbeh (from the Persian language Farsi; raw, natural, uncut) represents a rough and primitive carpet with patterns mostly made by Qashghai nomads from the Farsi province in the southwest of Iran (old Persia).
